OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus Open, its first foldable smartphone, will be launched on 19 October and have released a teaser image of the phone. More details haven’t been given yet.
Ken Liu, President and COO of One Plus, has said that the OnePlus Open ‘will redefine the concept of foldable smartphones by delivering all-round flagship-level experiences that push the limits of current foldable smartphones and take the standard of foldables to the next level.’
The OnePlus Open will be joining other recently released flip phones including the Oppo N3 Flip, Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. Leaks suggest that pricing will start at $1,699/£1,380 and that the phone comes with three Hasselblad branded cameras: a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.
