If you’re looking to dip your toes into the world of film photography but don’t know what film camera to get, then this new camera from UK brand Praktica may be just the ticket. It’s a reusable film camera, with a fixed focus lens, optical viewfinder, and built-in flash, and is available for £19.99 for the camera on its own (in black or off-white), or £35 with a roll of Kodak film included from various UK retailers including Currys, Boots, Argos, Amazon and others. Although, this Praktica VF212 isn’t the only cheap 35mm film camera available – as you can also get the PURE35 with two rolls of film for £40!

Unfortunately it looks like the Praktica VF212 (and the PURE35) aren’t readily available in the US, so you may want to look at something like the RETO Ultra Wide ($29.99 without flash), or the more expensive Kodak Snapic A1 (around $99). The other thing to think about is the second-hand market, as film cameras have been around for a LONG time, so it could be that you’d find a better camera on second-hand sites like eBay from other brands like Olympus, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and others.
