Xiaomi has announced the new Xiaomi 14 series, part of the flagship range of camera phones from Xiaomi, these new models are made in partnership with Leica, with Leica branded optics, and Leica tuned colour and image processing. Xiaomi has impressed us with other models, and these new models are looking like real contenders for the best phones for photography.
We recently reviewed the Xiaomi 13T Pro, a mid-range phone with Leica optics, and the previous Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Here’s what the Xiaomi 14 Pro offers:
- 50MP main wide, with variable f/1.42-f/4.0 aperture, “Light Hunter 900” sensor, 23mm equivalent, OIS
- 50MP ultra-wide, f/2.3, 14mm equivalent, 5cm macro
- 40/50MP telephoto (40MP photo, 50MP portrait), f/2.0, 75mm equivalent, 10cm close up with floating lens group, OIS
- 6.73inch screen, with 120Hz refresh, up to 3000nits brightness
- 4880mAh battery, with wireless charging
Here’s what the Xiaomi 14 offers:
- 50MP main wide, with f/1.6 aperture, “Light Hunter 900” sensor, 23mm equivalent, OIS
- 50MP ultra-wide, f/2.3, 14mm equivalent, fixed focus, no macro
- 32/50MP telephoto (32MP photo, 50MP portrait), f/2.0, 75mm equivalent, 10cm close up with floating lens group, OIS
- 6.36inch screen, with 120Hz refresh, and up to 3000 nits brightness
- 4610mAh battery, with wireless charging
