Viltrox just released two new lenses for crop-sensor mirrorless cameras (APS-C cameras): the Viltrox 75mm F1.8 and a 90mm F2.2 optic. They are optimised for portrait photography and video and are part of the company’s wider ecosystem of hybrid EVO lenses.

The 75mm version provides a 112.5 mm-equivalent focal length on 35mm film, with a soft natural compression ideal for classic portraits and lifestyle shots, while the 90mm offers a 135 mm-equivalent telephoto reach that provides stronger compression, excellent for capturing your subject from a distance. Combine this with the 9 aperture blades, and you get beautiful subject separation and atmospheric bokeh.

Relying on Viltrox’s STM autofocus system, it can quietly track focus. To reduce chromatic aberration and keep size and weigh tat bay theincluded. Bringing the Nikon Z versions down to 325g/345g.

Apart from the Fujifilm XF version, they all feature a customisable Fn button, a de-click button, an AF/MF Switch, and a USB-C port on the lens mount for deploying firmware updates. The rubber-sealed lens mount and water and smudge-resistant coating on the front element mean it will handle some light rain and less-than-ideal outdoor conditions too.
