Formula 1 stars including Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button were challenged to take a photo that represented a ‘snapshot of their world’.
Organisers have today confirmed that an auction of the images, held at a London hotel on 16 January, raised £20,500.
Photographs submitted by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and former world champion Fernando Alonso fetched £2,400 and £1,100 respectively.
There is still a chance to own a unique photo taken by one of the F1 drivers, say organisers.
Half of the images are still to be auctioned, along with a selection of Nikon cameras signed by the F1 figures.
An online auction for these items opens tomorrow (21 January).

The Zoom charity auction took place at the Intercontinental hotel, Park Lane, London, on 16 January.
It was hosted by BBC presenter Suzi Perry and attended by celebrities including Geri Halliwell, whose black & white selfie with her fiancé raised £800.
Auction sponsor Nikon donated nine Coolpix S9700 cameras to the auction, each signed by Formula 1 legends such as Niki Lauda, Sir Jackie Stewart and Jacques Villeneuve.
Last month, Nikon UK’s group marketing manager Jeremy Gilbert said: ‘It’s a fantastic project that both raises money for an incredibly worthy charity and opens up the world of Formula 1 to fans through imagery, offering an exclusive perspective of the sport with behind-the-scenes images.’
