Honor’s Robot Phone is a new species that will likely become one of the best camera phones when it goes on sale, and Honor finally confirmed it will be available in late summer this year. The Honour Robot Phone features the world’s smallest gimbal camera system, and it can capture complex, stabilised tracking shots without any axtra attachments as it folds away into the back of the device thanks to a micro motor.

During its debut at the World Mobile Congress, the AI object tracking ability and neat AI SpinShot feature for video impressed our team, but today at the Cannes Film Festival Honor also revealed it has been collaborating with world-renowned film equipment manufacturer ARRI. The Robot Phone was also named the official imaging partner of Cannes China Night. This marks the first time ARRI image science is being used in a consumer device.

Honor is positioning the Robor Phone as a new standard for high-end filmmaking and content creation. After its initial teaser at the Magic 8 Pro launch, our team had a chance to test it at the Mobile World Congress in early March. Have a look at the incredible level of stabilisation this new species of Android is capable of below.
