The 26MP Fujifilm X100V has been officially discontinued. The X100V was a run-away success for Fujifilm, being difficult to find in stock all over the world. It went viral on Tiktok, and the rest, as they say is history. The X100V regularly remained at the SRP(RRP), or higher, with some unscrupulous resellers even hiking the price when they did have stock.
There’s a lot of love for the Fujifilm X100V, and it’s easy to see why it’s one of our best rated Fujifilm cameras, when it looks and feels so good in the hand. It delivers excellent images as well, and has a unique Hybrid optical and electronic viewfinder that is unmatched in any other camera. Except of course for other models in the Fujifilm X series.
However, you don’t need to panic, as Fujifilm has announced the new X100VI, and this means that when people upgrade to the new 40MP model, there should be more availability of the previous version on second-hand sites. If you’re been lusting after the Fujifilm X100V, then this may be one of the best times to snag one second-hand.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the X100V, and is waiting for stock to become available, may be given the option to switch their orders to the new model (assuming additional costs are covered – however please check with your retailer to confirm).
