In November, Associated Press was among dozens of news organisations to sign a letter in protest at what they claimed was routine denial of the right to photograph and video the President performing his official duties.
‘We continue to work through the issues with the White House,’ an Associated Press spokesperson told Amateur Photographer.
The White House told the press that its reason for closing certain events to photographers was that they were deemed ‘private’.
The letter, addressed to White House press secretary Jay Carney, was signed by 38 news outlets, including The Washington Post, CNN and Getty Images.
