Independent lens maker Tokina has announced the UK availability of two new lenses designed for Canon and Nikon digital SLRs with an APS-C-size imaging sensor.
The 16-50mm AT-X 165 Pro DX is billed as a multi-purpose lens designed to cover the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 24-75mm zoom.
The Tokina AT-X 535 Pro DX is a 50-135mm zoom, producing the equivalent of an 80-210mm lens on a 35mm film camera.
Both optics boast a maximum aperture of f/2.8 and feature Tokina?s One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, allowing photographers to switch between autofocus and manual focus by moving the focus ring forwards or backwards.
Tokina adds that ATX stands for the firm?s concept of ?Advanced Technology-Extra?.
