Lord Snowdon has captured a new portrait of the Queen and Prince Philip for a stamp which will be released to mark their diamond wedding anniversary on 20 November.
The specially commissioned photograph was captured on the balcony of Buckingham Palace earlier this year and will appear on a 1st Class stamp from 16 October.
We understand that it is one of four stamps, depicting ?informal? images of the Royal Family, which will appear on a ?self-adhesive? miniature sheet.
A picture by the late Lord Lichfield is also featured, according to the Royal Mail.
However, each stamp will not be available to buy separately.
The self-adhesive miniature sheet ? the Royal Mail?s first ? will cost £2.15.
An enlarged image of the miniature sheet is also expected to appear on a set of 11 postcards, priced at £3.30 per set.
Six other stamps will feature photographs of the royal couple at ?formal events?.
