The second digital SLR to emerge from the alliance between Samsung and Pentax is the six million Samsung-branded GX-1L which is due out in March priced £500.
The Pentax KAF mount camera features five-point AF, 16-segment metering and a shooting rate of 2.8 frames per second for up to five JPEG shots.
The camera comes with an 18-55mm Schneider D-Xenon lens.
Also featured is a 2.5? LCD screen with a resolution of 210,000 pixels, plus a viewfinder claimed to provide a 96% field of view.
The eight shooting modes include Candlelight, Museum, Night Scene and Surf & Snow.
Weighing 470g (without batteries and memory card) the GX-1L accepts AA batteries and includes a spot metering option.
