General Imaging has delayed the UK launch of its long-awaited bridge camera until later this year, a UK spokeswoman has told AP ahead of the PMA trade show in Las Vegas.
The X3 – first mentioned at last year’s PMA and shown in prototype form at Photokina in the autumn – will carry a 12x optical zoom.
Meanwhile, the firm is poised to launch nine new traditional-style compact cameras, seven of which boast a resolution of at least 12 million pixels.
The line-up includes the 12MP E1255W which sports a 3in screen and a zoom designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle of a 28mm lens.
All the new models will feature optical image stabilisation.
