Photographers Susan Meiselas, Paolo Pellegrin and Chris Steele-Perkins are among those expected to attend the book signing, which will be held at Magnum Print Room’s pop-up exhibition, Screen Idols, from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
The £95 book features more than 3,600 frames from 139 contact sheets, representing the work of 69 photographers.
It also shows related documents such as photographers’ press cards and notebooks.
Magnum Contact Sheets, first published in 2011, ‘lays bare the creative methods, strategies and editing processes behind some of the world’s most iconic images’, said a spokesman for the agency.
The book signing will take place on 13 December at The Gallery, 99 Mount Street, London W1K 2TF (tel: 0207 629 9355).
The exhibition, Screen Idols, includes images by photographers including David Hurn, Elliott Erwitt and Eve Arnold.
