A revamped version of the Epson R-D1 digital rangefinder camera, the R-D1s, will not be available in the UK, the company has revealed.
Epson UK?s office broke the news to AP after it was deluged with enquiries about the new camera following reports which appeared on the internet this morning.
The R-D1s is expected to include features such as a Quick View review function, support for JPEG and RAW files and Adobe RGB colour space.
Other improvements are believed to include a long exposure noise reduction feature and the ability to playback images with a magnification up to 16x.
The R-D1 was the world?s first digital rangefinder.
Epson UK was not able to confirm details of the new model.
