Canon says firmware v2 – which was introduced following customer feedback – boosts the 7D’s maximum raw file burst rate to 25 raw files, or 130 JPEGs.
In-camera editing includes raw file processing, while control over Auto ISO levels during still and movie recording allows users to limit ISO speeds ‘within the native ISO 400-6,400 range’ according to Canon.
The update also adds new manual control of audio levels with a choice of 64 sound levels.
The EOS 7D is compatible with Canon’s GPS unit, the GP-E2, allowing users to geo-tag their images, using longitude, latitude and altitude data.
