A facsimile of Andrew’s missing Pentax camera
Many objects can hold sentimental value for a host of reasons, and cameras are no exception.
In a recent edition of our regular magazine feature ‘My life in Cameras’, Andrew Sanderson fondly recalled a camera that had been his constant companion for several years.
‘When I went to college to study photography, I bought a Pentax SP500 35mm camera that I carried around everywhere. I loved it and I owe so many of my favourite images to this camera,’ he said in the June 13 issue of Amateur Photographer.
‘I shot hundreds of rolls on it before trading it in for something I thought would be better. I wish I still had it.’
Andrew had marked the camera out as his by painting it a distinct shade of green – see above for an artist’s impression – and now he’s on a mission to find out where it ended up.
