Honor has launched the Honor 200 series, with three new models, the 200 Pro, 200, and 200 Lite, with the Honor 200 Pro version now available in Europe for the first time, this is looking like an extremely affordable flagship camera phone.

The Honor 200 and 200 Pro both feature a triple camera setup on the rear, with an ultra-wide-angle, wide-angle, and 2.5x telephoto camera. All three phones also feature a 50MP selfie camera.

Honor has introduced a new “Honor AI Portrait Engine” which was developed with Studio Harcourt, and involved analysing thousands of images. The technology lets you adjust light and shadow in portraits, which Honor say will give you the ‘perfect shot every time’.

Honor 200 / 200 Pro Key Features

  • 50MP main camera, PDAF, OIS (f/1.9 on Pro, f/2.0 otherwise)
  • 50MP f/2.5 telephoto camera, 2.5x, AF, OIS
  • 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle, AF
  • 50MP f/2.1 selfie camera (+2MP depth on the Pro)
  • 6.7inch (200), 6.78inch (200 Pro), OLED, 4000nits
  • 5200mAh battery

Considering the price point of the 200 Pro, and particularly the Honor 200, these represent great value for money, given that you’re getting a triple camera system on the back, with a telephoto camera, as well as a high-resolution selfie camera on the front. It makes certain dual-camera phones from other brands look overpriced, and we’ll be looking to see where the Honor 200 fits into our list of the best budget camera phones when we get it in for review!

The Honor 200 Pro has a larger main camera sensor, at 1/1.3inch, and a slightly brighter aperture at f/1.9, compared to the f/2.0 aperture on the Honor 200, as well as an additional 2MP depth camera to sit next to the 50MP selfie camera.

The Honor 200 Pro is now available from the Honor website in three colours: Ocean Cyan, Moonlight White, and Black. It will be priced at £699 while the Honor 200, which is available in Moonlight White, Emerald Green and Black, will be priced at £499.99.
