Five AgfaPhoto-branded digital compact cameras are expected to be launched over the next few months, including a 10-million-pixel model.
The first will be a 7MP model called the DC-735 (pictured) which is showcased at this week?s Photokina trade show in Germany.
Made by German company plawa-feinwerktechnik, under license from AgfaPhoto, features include a 3x optical zoom and 2.5in LCD screen.
Also due to make their debut before the end of the year ? covering the 5-6MP category -are the DC-530i, DC-630x and DC-633x.
?A ten megapixel model is also in preparation,? according to a statement released this week by the manufacturer. The firm?s managing director Michael Roessler added: ?In Germany alone around seven million digital cameras will be bought this year. We want to earn a significant share of this market by providing top products.?
The DC-735 is due out in Germany on 9 October priced E199.
At the time of writing it was not clear whether the cameras will be available in the UK.
