The internet changed the world, much like the iPhone changed the world, a phone with the internet. Now you can’t go anywhere without someone taking photos and video, and when it comes to new products, as soon as it is made, someone will be there to take photos and make a video (even when they perhaps shouldn’t). Thanks to this, we now have a better idea of what the folding iPhone could look like, assuming this is real.
Samsung, Google, Honor, and others have been making folding phones for a while now, and with the latest versions of these we’re seeing some really impressive triple camera setups, which includes an ultra-wide, main camera, and telephoto camera. I was personally so impressed by the Fold7 that I’d happily use it as my main phone, if only I could afford it.

iPhones (and smartphones) didn’t just change the world due to the internet, but they also changed the world due to the cameras (finally get to the point!), so it’s particularly interesting to us to see what kind of camera setup we can expect to see on the folding iPhone. These images show us a two-camera setup – which we expect will be an ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as a wide-angle main camera. If Apple use a high-resolution main camera, like they do on their other phones, like the iPhone 17, then it can then be used for 2x optical quality zoom, as well as digital zoom. It’s nice to see a dual-camera setup, rather than the single camera on the iPhone Air and 17e.
Of course, we’re speculating at this point, as no official information has been released, but this would be the most logical implementation of a two-camera setup. Folding phones tend to have less space for camera units, when compared to standard non-folding phones, so the actual implementation may be different, and it would be great to see a triple camera setup, like on the iPhone 17 Pro, and other folding phones.
