We’re blessed in Britain to have such a varied and wonderful landscape, with iconic landscape locations across the length and breadth of the country. From the likes of Durdle Door on the south coast of England, to Glen Etive in the Highlands of Scotland and beyond, these spots are often pilgrimages for photographers, and rightly so.
However, everyone and their dog knows about these fantastic spots – in some cases, you’ll be rubbing shoulders with numerous other photographers at the same spot as the sun comes up waiting for the shot, so we want to know your favourite locations in the UK that are off the beaten track, but still reward you with brilliant images.
So, if you know of somewhere that’s an overlooked gem of a place for photography and would love the chance to see your image in Amateur Photographer, we want to hear about it for a feature we’re working on called Hidden Britain.
All we want from you at the moment is a stunning image that illustrates your chosen spot (feel free to submit more than one place as well), along with your contact details, and we’ll be in touch if we want to feature it in the magazine. Unfortunately though we won’t be able to respond to every submission.
Please send submissions to apcompetitions@timeinc.com with the subject header as ‘Hidden’ or add to our Hidden Britain gallery. Last call for entries is 22 May 2016.
