The D5600 was one of Nikon’s most popular mid-range DX format DSLRs and you can save money on this still very capable camera thanks to this Amazon deal.

The Nikon D5600’s compact stature, impressive imaging skills and the provision of Nikon’s SnapBridge technology gave the D5600 a broad appeal that’s still relevant today.

Amazon is selling a NEW model with the 18-55mm kit lens for a tempting $849. This would make a great starter camera for a friend or relation, or a back-up device.

Nikon D5600 at a glance:

  • 24.2-million-pixel APS-C (DX format) sensor
  • 39-point AF system
  • Wireless functionality
  • ISO 100-25,600
  • Records up to Full HD (1080p) video at 24p1

As we said in our original review, the Nikon D5600 takes some beautiful photos, and you can get a heck of a lot from it if you stick with it and perhaps even invest in additional lenses.

It’s a great first-time DSLR, and arguably a better investment than the Nikon D3400 as you’re more likely to be able to learn with it and keep it for longer than the more entry-level model which you may quickly outgrow.
