Konica Minolta has today announced that it is set to transfer its camera business to Sony and pull out of the camera and photography market.

Konica Minolta will continue to produce digital SLRs and interchangeable lenses for Sony.

Sony will develop new digital SLRs based on – and compatible with – the Konica Minolta Dynax lens mount system, according to a press statement released by Konica Minolta this morning.
