Eight ‘unseen’ photographs captured by Lord Lichfield will go on show for the first time at an exhibition that opens next week.
Fame, Fashion and Fast Cars is billed as a collection of the late photographer’s work chronicling the ‘high life of the 1960s and 1970s’.
It includes portraits of movie stars Dustin Hoffman and Sir Roger Moore and motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss.
Patrick Lichfield’s cameras and contact sheets will also be on display at the exhibition, which opens at Lichfield’s former Staffordshire home, Shugborough, on 19 March.
Commenting on the show, which runs until October, landscape photographer Charlie Waite said: ‘The Lichfield images that we see in this wonderfully evocative exhibition embrace the sixties and seventies in a way that few photographers working then were able to do.’
A spokesperson for Lord Lichfield’s office in London says that it will not be releasing the ‘unseen’ shots ahead of the exhibition.
