UK photographer John Stezaker has been shortlisted for the £30,000 Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2012.
The competition aims to reward a photographer who has made a significant contribution, in exhibition or publication format, to photography in Europe between 1 October 2010 and 30 September 2011.
Stezaker was shortlisted for his exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery in London earlier this year.
The other nominees are: Pieter Hugo (South Africa); Rinko Kawauchi (Japan); and Christopher Williams (USA).
