Hosted by photographer Jay McLaughlin, the four-hour workshop – called ‘A Different approach’ – costs £25.

The course ‘challenges some of the misconceptions about successful photography’, say organisers.

It will include a talk, demonstrations and give participants the chance to get their hands on an Olympus OM-D E-M5.

There is a choice of two times for the 23 November event: 1pm-5pm and 5.30pm-9.30pm, based at the Murdermile Studios in Hackney.
