Tessa’s image, ‘Noodle Making’, was captured in Lao People’s Democratic Republic, earning her the top prize of £5,000.

She beat 6,000 images in the international contest, judged by a panel led by food critic Jay Rayner.

The winner was announced at the Mall Galleries in London last night.
