Tamron has launched six new lenses at the PMA trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Among the newcomers is the SP AF 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD (IF) Macro billed as a lightweight, fast tele-zoom for DSLRs with a full-frame 35mm imaging sensor.
Tamron’s UK distributor Intro 2020 has confirmed a price of around £599 for this lens.
The Canon-mount version will be out in the spring with Nikon, Pentax and Sony models due at an unspecified later date.
Tamron has also unveiled a full-frame version 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro, featuring a built-in AF motor for use on Nikon DSLRs.
Meanwhile, designed to be used on APS-C size image sensor DSLRs comes the SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF). It will be available in Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony versions.
Pentax DSLR users can soon expect to see the Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di-II LD Aspehrical IF, an APS-C format model already available in Nikon, Canon and Sony lens mounts.
Finally, Tamron has announced the development of two more APS-C size format zoom lenses with built-in AF motor for Nikon DSLRs. They are the 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II and SP 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II.
