The auction of 30 rock-star photos is being organised by the Print Bank Charitable Trust, the proceeds from which will be donated to charities including the Teenage Cancer Trust and Shelter.

The prints are signed by the photographers and their star subjects, who also include The Police, Bryan Ferry, Lenny Kravitz, Kate Bush and Oasis.

The auction, to be held at London’s Albert Hall on Saturday afternoon, will be hosted by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson.

The images – alongside 40 photos from Rockarchive.com – will feature in an exhibition at the Albert Hall that runs from 16 May-5 June.

Rockarchive.com was launched by renowned rock photographer Jill Furmanovsky in 1998, with the aim of making music photographers’ work accessible to music fans and collectors.

The Albert Hall display will include a section celebrating the 20th anniversary of Jill Furmanovsky’s book, The Moment: 25 Years of Rock Photography.
