Muddy Waters by Terry Cryer, taken in 1958
Terry is selling his Canon EOS-1, a film-based SLR, which has so far attracted a bid of £400, with six days left until the auction closes.
The Canon EOS-1 is described as in immaculate condition.
It comes with two lenses and a flash.
Terry, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, says the lucky bidder will also receive a 20x16in fine-art print and be invited to the preview of his retrospective exhibition at RedHouse Originals, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, next month.
Born in Leeds, Terry has been involved with photography since he was 14, mixing chemicals for a processing firm.
He worked as a photographer at Butlins before photographing musicians such as Louis Armstrong on tour in the 1950s, and moving to London where he worked for Jazz News. He later joined news agency Associated Press.
Sir Paul McCartney once said: ‘I’ve known Terry for many years as a mate and have admired his photographic work for as long as I can remember.’
