The Environmental Awareness Project Funding Bursary offers £3,000 funding for two one-year projects aimed at promoting environmental awareness.
The bursary is available for applicants in two categories: 16-30 and 31+ years.
Recipients can use the funding for any aspect of their photography, including ‘travel, equipment, a website or mounting an exhibition’, said the RPS in a statement.
The £3,500 Postgraduate Bursary is designed to support postgraduate students undertaking photographic research or studying Masters courses in photography.
The photographer who presents the best proposal for a photographic essay on an overseas social documentary issue will win the £2,000 Joan Wakelin Bursary. Their work will also be published in The Guardian and The RPS Journal.
Finally, the RPS has also announced the Short Film Award, which is worth £2,000.
