Pentax has unveiled a new 10-million-pixel digital compact camera called the Optio M60, which sports a newly designed aluminium-alloy body.
Boasting a face recognition detection speed of ?0.03secs?, the M60 features a 2.5in LCD (230,000 dots) monitor and a lens designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 36-180mm zoom. The optic includes four aspherical elements.
Firepower also includes a 9-point AF system, spot metering and a claimed top ISO sensitivity of 6400.
A voice memo function is included on this 130g model, as is exposure compensation of ±2EV in 1/3EV steps.
Pentax claims that the M60 can detect up to 32 faces at the same time, for automatic focus and exposure.
