The LG G4 is the latest flagship phone from the Korean manufacturer, and in addition to its new camera it comes with an improved display and a body design that’s wrapped in genuine leather.
Its 5.5in QHD display carries a 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution and a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor that has been featured in other rival smartphones, including the HTC M9.
Smartphone photographers are well catered for – the 16-million-pixel camera offers full manual control of settings including white balance, focal length, ISO and shutter speed.
The LG G4 houses a 1/2.6in sensor, boasts a maximum aperture of f/1.8 and can even capture images in raw format as well as JPEG.
All this should mean that it not only handles itself better in low light but is also more useful for capturing fast action shots. Could all this be enough to tempt away iPhone and Samsung Galaxy users?
It comes with laser-assisted focus and a colour spectrum sensor to deliver more natural tones. There’s also a secondary 8-million-pixel front camera for selfie-takers.
