Nikon has launched a bridge-style 10.1-million-pixel camera called the P80. It boasts an 18x optical zoom lens and top equivalent ISO sensitivity of 6400.
The black-bodied model sports a 2.7in LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder. It will cost £299.99 when it reaches UK stores on 25 April.
The P80?s zoom aims to deliver the 35mm equivalent of a 27-486mm optic.
Features also include shutter and aperture control and claimed focusing down to 1cm.
The P80 deploys image-shift Vibration Reduction technology to help reduce camera shake.
Nikon?s D-Lighting is included along with Face-Priority AF and In-Camera Red-Eye Fix.
Creative options include an ?optimise image? feature, allowing photographers to apply a choice of four filter effects to b&w photos.
Also on-board is a 30 frames per second movie mode and 52MB of built-in memory.
