Fujifilm has today unveiled a new 10-million-pixel camera with a 12x optical zoom, called the FinePix S1500.
The lens is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 33-396mm zoom.
Features include Face Detection and Dual Image Stabilisation. The latter uses CCD-shift combined with a high equivalent ISO sensitivity.
The S1500 carries a maximum ISO of 6400, at 3MP resolution.
The S1500 also boasts a Tracking Auto Focus option to help photographers focus on a moving subject, by pressing the shutter button halfway.
Fuji claims the camera can shoot at up to 7.5 frames per second in continuous shooting mode (2MP resolution).
The S1500 is powered by AA batteries and sports a 2.7in LCD screen.
At the time of writing a price for the camera had yet to be confirmed.
