Fujifilm UK has today announced the latest flagship camera in its F-series of digital compacts in the shape of the 8.3-million-pixel FinePix F40fd.
Sporting a 3x optical zoom and Super CCD HR VI sensor the newcomer includes a dual-card memory slot. This allows – for the first time on a FinePix model – the use of either an xD-Picture Card or Secure Digital (SD) memory card.
Features also include ISO 2000 sensitivity and a 2.5in LCD screen which, claims Fuji, expands the monitor’s viewing angle by up to 25° more than previous models.
Also on board is Fuji?s Face Detection technology, 14 scene modes and the ability to take two shots in quick succession, with and without flash, for quick comparison.
Out in a choice of silver, ?gunmetal? or blue colours, the F40fd is due out in March at a price yet to be confirmed.
