Firmware v2 adds a range of new features including: improved continuous shooting with the maximum RAW buffer now extended to 25 RAW files or 130 JPEGs; a range of new editing functions allowing post-production to begin in-camera; customisable control of Auto ISO within the native ISO range of 400-6400; and improved audio functionality in movie mode.
The update will also provide new support for the GPS Receiver GP-E2 enabling photographers to geo-tag photos.
Firmware v2 will be available from August 2012.
