Sitting between the EOS 700D and EOS 70D, the 24.2-million-pixel pair carry different designs, and are aimed at different audiences.
The EOS 750D is targeted at people new to the EOS system, such as those stepping up from a compact camera or smartphone.
Meanwhile, the EOS 760D boasts more manual control for greater ‘creative freedom’ among enthusiasts.
In a statement, Canon explained: ‘The EOS 760D allows photographers to be more considered with their settings with conveniently placed controls, usually found in Canon’s enthusiast EOS models, including the rear Quick Control Dial, the top LCD panel and Intelligent Viewfinder for quick access and review of both settings and images.’
The 760D – which replaces the EOS 700D – also includes an HDR movie mode designed to boost shadow and highlight detail, plus Miniature Effect, a function designed to ‘instantly create the effect of tilt-shift lenses’.
They both feature 5fps shooting, a vari-angle LCD and a top ISO of 100-12,800, plus a 19 (cross-type)-point AF system.
The full HD movie modes include the ability to share files in MP4 format.
The Wi-Fi and NFC-compatible cameras are due to go on sale in April.
The EOS 760D will cost £649.99 body only, while the EOS 750D will cost £599.99 body only or £689.99 in a kit with an EF-S 18-55mm IS STM lens.
