Pop star Britney Spears has used her website to publicly apologise for attacking a paparazzi photographer?s car with an umbrella in February.
?I apologise to the pap for a stunt that was done four months ago regarding [sic] an umbrella,? writes the 25-year-old who at the time had been at the centre of press attention after shaving off her hair.
Britney?s message (pictured) adds: ?I was preparing my character for a role in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally.?
She admitted: ?I take all my roles very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn?t get the part.?
Among those reporting the Britney Spears apology was the website of ABC News, which stated: ?When all else fails in Hollywood, blame it on ?method acting??.?
