The Panasonic Lumix FZ80D/FZ82D is a great example of a handy bridge/superzoom camera, with a built-in lens that zooms right out – so you don’t have to carry around lots of lenses or run the risk of missing a distant shot.
Amazon has cut the price to $447.99, which is close to the big discount during the recent Amazon Prime Day.
So it’s now something of a bargain for a camera offering 60x optical zoom with image stabilisation.
Panasonic Lumix FZ80D at a glance:
- 18.1MP 1/2.3-inch MOS Sensor
- 20-1200mm equivalent f/2.8-f/5.9 lens (60x optical zoom), OIS
- USB-C in-camera charging
- 4K/30p Video
- 4K Photo
- 3-inch 1840k-dot fixed touchscreen
- 0.39-inch OLED LVF 2360k-dots1
Even if you mainly use a DSLR or mirrorless camera, it would work well as a back-up or a starter camera for a friend or relative. See our review here.
