Almost two-thirds of 2,000 pet-owners surveyed admitted to regularly capturing images of their pets.
Most confessed to regularly posting the pictures on social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
Brits share an average of six pet photos per week, compared with five of their friends and family.
Dogs were found to be the most popular pet, with 62% regularly taking photos of their pooch, while only 4% took pictures of their guinea pig.
Almost half of those polled said they treated their dog or cat as ‘another member of the family’, according to the survey which was conducted for Samsung by OnePoll.
