The photography contests sought images on the theme ‘Motion’ and pulled in more than 1,000 entries.
The Ilford Photo Student Photographer of the Year 2014 title went to Leeds College of Art student Elliott Jagger with an entry entitled ‘Light in the dark’.
Runner-up was named as Laura Cogan from Lincoln College with a photo called ‘Almost there’.
Entrants were required to capture images shot on Ilford or Kentmere black & white film and printed on traditional photographic paper.

Andy Barton from The Manchester College scooped the Harman technology Student Photographer of the Year 2014 – Digital.
Runner-up was Brydn Webb, a student at Norwich University of the Arts.
Digital entries had to be printed on Harman Crystaljet Elite RC inkjet paper.
Harman’s director of sales and marketing Steven Brierley said: ‘We have always had marvellous support from tutors and technicians in the colleges.
‘It is no surprise that we continue to receive so many exceptional prints…
‘This year we were very nearly overwhelmed by the large number of entries that we had to judge from.
‘I think the winners have shown excellent thought and technique.’
