We’ve had a lot of fantastic entries to our Christmas photo competition to find our cover star, but we still want more.
In case you don’t know what we’re talking about, we’re looking for a reader image to be on the cover of our Christmas special for 2014.
We want a picture that says ‘Christmas’ without being clichéd. Think about what Christmas means to you personally, think about the things you see that instantly give you that Christmas feeling. That’s what we’re looking for.
If you’re image is chosen, not only will it appear on our cover but we’ll also throw in £200 payment, a Camlink CMP1 Monopod and a National Geographic rucksack. Because we’re nice people.
We’ve mocked up another batch of our recent favourite entries to show you the sort of thing we’re looking for:
Have you taken something like that? Or do you reckon you can take something better than that? Then we definitely want to see what you’ve got.
Here are our previous mock-ups from earlier entries:
To enter, upload your images to the ‘Christmas cover competition’ Gallery or add to our Flickr group adding the tag #coverscomp by 30 November 2014.
A few important things to remember about your image:
1. Portrait format, please
2. It’ll need a suitable area at the top where we can put the AP logo, and space elsewhere for headlines
3. Low-res is fine for entering, but we will need a high-res of at least 3,500 pixels along the longest edge for publication. We’ll contact you if you’re shortlisted so look out for a message from us!
4, Enter as many times as you like.
See this page for full instructions on how to enter, and to check the full T&Cs.
Remember you have until November 30. Rummage through your archives or snap something new, either’s fine.
Good luck, and we’re looking forward to seeing your images!
