Thieves escaped with a haul of digital cameras in a raid on a Jessops store in Hampstead, north London, the group?s head office has confirmed.
The stolen gear was worth ?£16,000? and the robbers caused ‘£10,000’ of damage to the shop on Hampstead High Street, according to local newspaper the Ham & High.
However, the high-street chain declined to confirm the value of the haul or which models were taken in the burglary, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday 10 June.
A Jessops spokeswoman told us: ?We are providing the police with every assistance in their enquiries and would ask members of the public who are offered equipment through unusual sources to contact the authorities.?
The culprits are understood to have also broken into a nearby optometrists shop before fleeing on mopeds.
