The deadline for photographers to enter this year?s World Press Photo Contest is 12 January 2006.
Open to press photographers and photojournalists worldwide the contest accepts pictures that have been taken during 2005 and ?intended for publication?.
All entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form which can be downloaded from www.worldpressphoto.nl/contest.
Single pictures or portfolios can be entered in the following categories: Spot News, General News, People in the News, Sports Action, Sports Features, Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, Portraits, Arts and Entertainment and Nature. The winners will be announced on 10 February 2006 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
