The Voigtländer Bessa III medium format folding camera will be launched in the UK next month, the brand’s UK distributor has confirmed.
It will cost around £1,900 (including VAT), according to Robert White, the Dorset-based distributor which has so far placed an order for 20 units.
The Voigtländer Bessa III camera will be equipped with a mechanism for switching between two film formats, 6x7cm and 6x6cm.
The camera will come with an 80mm f/3.5 lens (made from six elements in four groups) and will be powered by a CR2 (3V) lithium battery.
Known in Japan as the GF670 it was developed in conjunction with Cosina.
The company revealed a prototype of the camera at the Photo Marketing Association show in the United States last year.
