Sigma has launched a new macro lens designed to be used on digital SLRs.
Priced a penny under £270 the 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro lens is specifically designed for digital SLRs featuring an APS-C size imaging sensor.
On-board features include a claimed minimum focusing distance of 20cm, maximum magnification of 1:2.3, a Special Low Dispersion lens plus two aspherical lens elements.
The 15-element-in-12-group debutante is available in Sigma, Nikon, Canon, Pentax, and Konica Minolta AF fits.
