New technology on the Galaxy K Zoom includes an ‘Auto Focus/Auto Exposure separation’ function – allowing users to select a part of the scene they want to optimise for each. This could prove handy when shooting tricky backlit scenes, for example.
The Galaxy K Zoom, due out at the end of May, features a 4.8in Super AMOLED screen and a 24-240mm f/3.1 lens.
Features also includes a three-frames-per-second burst rate (with AF).
The 200g device also boasts Full HD video and a Xenon flash.
The ‘selfie alarm’ mode allows the user to capture self-portraits using a timer – giving them time to choose where they want themselves to appear in the frame against their desired background.
Images are stored on MicroSD cards.
The Galaxy K Zoom is expected to cost around £399. It will also be available on a phone contract.
