The HZ15 features a 16-million-pixel, 1/2.3in, CCD imaging sensor and a 3in LCD monitor with a resolution of around 230,000 dots.
The 10-elements-in-9-groups lens includes five aspherical elements and has a maximum aperture of f/3.3.
The HZ15 captures JPEG-format image files and boasts a minimum macro shooting distance of 3cm.
Also on board are 20 scene modes and exposure compensation of plus or minus 2EV (in 1/3EV steps).
Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the Ricoh HZ15 is due out at the end of September at a price yet to be announced.
