Panasonic’s first Micro Four Thirds camera with video recording capability, the Lumix DMC-GH1, will not arrive in UK stores this month as originally planned.

First announced in March, Panasonic had initially expected the 12.1-million-pixel camera to be ready to go on sale in ‘mid-May’.

However, the GH1 will not be available until ‘early/mid-June’, according to a UK spokeswoman.

Meanwhile, the firm has announced that an optional external microphone for the camera will cost £136.99 (online price).

Last week, Panasonic confirmed that the GH1 will cost £1299.99, including a 14-140mm lens.
