Panasonic will release its second Micro Four Thirds camera, with built-in ‘High Definition’ movie mode, in spring 2009, a spokesman for the firm confirmed today.
The company showcased a prototype version at a press event held ahead of this week’s Photokina show in Cologne, Germany.
We understand that the movie mode will carry a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.
Journalists jostled for position to see the new model at a special event held at Toyota’s motor racing base in the city on Sunday 21 September.
Also on show were three new lenses for release in 2009: a 14-140mm f/4-5.6 OIS; 7-14mm f/4 and 20mm f/1.7 ‘pancake’ lens.
